As a change in the main screen led to an increase in the release of cards

Solmate is a banking product for the South African market, which makes it possible to open an account, virtual or debit card.

Task

To come up with a new main screen, to get access to the main services and to clearly show the Floor of the Card order.

Goals

Reduce the number of “lost” customers who opened the account, downloaded the application, got confused and did not start a card / paid for the subscription, etc.

1. Main Screen Before

List of the client’s open products. Each product card takes up quite a bit of space.

Banners for promoting sales and special offers.

A list of all the app’s services.

No intermediate states to indicate the status after a user has submitted a card opening request, leaving them uncertain about the progress.

2. Main Stat

Out of 100 people who applied for a card by any method, only 45% actually receive it.

Support is overwhelmed and flooded with tickets asking, “What’s the status of my card?” and manually updates client statuses.

3. Result

It was decided to completely redesign the main screen

As we see in the current version, a user can have quite a few open products, so for convenience, I decided to display the total balance of all cards at the top. Next to it, we’ll place quick access to WhatsApp support and the notifications section.

Using WhatsApp for just about everything is very common in South Africa, so users should have no trouble understanding what this icon means.

Below the banners are entry points to the main account management sections: Receive Money, Send Money, Top Up Debit Card, and International Transfers.

If the business needs to promote a specific service, it will be featured in place of “International Transfers.”

Next is the “My Products” section, which can display up to 5 banking products.

Well, the final block, which was brought to the general style of the new main, but globally left unchanged - "Popular Services"

4. General Flow

In general, the result was a rather voluminous flow in which we lead the user by the handle, depending on the current status of his account

5. Final statistics

Unfortunately, when developing the design of the main page, we did not have the opportunity to first test it on new users.

Now, out of 100 people who issued a card, 85%already reaches its receipt, which is 40%more than the previous result, the support has unloaded and resolves these important issues. The assumption of the “international translations” service increased by 23%, due to the implementation of the dick on the main page
