Conducted research, created prototypes, and designed a mobile app that allows users to add stickers, text, and effects to photos.
About
AppForType is an app for creating artwork, stickers, and collages, offering a vast selection of free features enjoyed by users worldwide.
Task
Redesign and create a new user interface aimed at making the app’s workflow more intuitive, while subtly introducing a subscription for the “PRO” version without alienating existing users.

1. Requirements Gathering
We started by studying the existing app to identify its weaknesses. We analyzed App Store reviews, communicated closely with the client, and held brainstorming sessions — essentially doing everything possible to gather comprehensive insights about the app’s issues and areas for improvement
Based on the gathered information and analysis of existing screens, we developed the following app structure.
2. Design
Designed in 2 stages:
High-level design, where we proposed major hypotheses and features while estimating the scope and structure of the screens. Detailed design, which introduced even more screens, hypotheses, and features. At this stage, we thoroughly refined the functionality of each section and screen
To facilitate smooth collaboration, each stage was created as a flow of screens.

3. Editor
This is a key section of the app, so we carefully and thoroughly refined its screens over multiple iterations.
The editor prototype, showcasing all the main states, looks like this:
In the design phase, we decided to showcase even more states with detailed descriptions for each scenario.
We documented every type of interaction, illustrating the actions triggered by taps, swipes, and long presses.
The editor consists of several sections:
Work with a template
In the internal store of additional materials, the user selects a photograph for photographs.

In the application you can create your own composition from scratch.

You can upload your own photo to the working area
Font choice
The application has a huge selection of fonts.
Working with a sticker
The application not only allows you to choose among thousands of different stickers, but also makes it possible to create its own from its images.

4. Shop

5. Blog
The application has a section "Blog", which publishes useful tips, articles and recommendations for image design.

The user can create his own profile, which will save information about all his actions within the application.
